Home Organization

When I come into your house, I want to know what you like about your space--and what just doesn't work for you.

I help you create a home for everything you own. This system will let you find and return everything you need quickly and efficiently. The goal is to make it fast and easy to find what you need, use it and get it back where it belongs--in less time. This gives you more time to do the things you love. The advantage is not only do you know what you have but you can easily identify what you need.

Along with the organization, I try to help you create new habits to continue the systems without making huge changes in your lives. I try to make the process gradual so it's not disruptive to everyday life and therefore more attainable for you and your family.

Kitchens/Baths: I help you create a system that makes cooking and clean-up quick and easy. We organize dishware, tools, appliances and food stuffs to create the ideal work triangle, no matter how your kitchen space is configured. In bathrooms, I create systems that help you get in and out faster, including areas for various ways you dress, bathe and take care of kids. I use organizational tools to help streamline and sort so you spend less time looking for what you need.

Closets: This is where you begin and end your day. I create systems to help you get in and out of your closet quickly and easily. Get dressed and out of your house faster. No more thinking about where things are or hunting for specific items. Create an outfit quicker and speed your time out the door in the morning. Protect your clothing, shoes and accessories with tools and systems that keep them organized and appropriately stored.

Children's Play Area: In this space, I try to create systems that are age-appropriate for the children in your home. These are systems the children can use as well, either with parents or alone. These systems help the play area be fun and easy to use. Kids love to do things by themselves, so I try to design the space in such a way that kids are empowered by their play area and have a sense of ownership. At the same time, it's designed to make cleanup fast and easy.

Laundry/Mud Room: Not usually considered an appealing part of the home, the Mud or Laundry room can often be found in a high traffic part of your home – or else in a far away corner that hardly sees the light of day. Sometimes this is an entry way to your home, so I create systems to make that space more efficient for leaving the house and coming back home. My systems will help define the dual natures of the space, while defining areas and enabling various members of the family to use the space efficiently

Lori is AMAZING!! She helped me organize my closets using unique storage solutions that created more space than I knew I had! It has been such a time saver too - no more wasting time searching through my closet for the toys lost in the abyss.

I had the pleasure of working with Lori on a few projects throughout my home. She had great ideas and a ton of energy. During our first conversation she advised me that there are simple solutions to organize the mess I had created. Many times these solutions are around the house or are very inexpensive to purchase. When I became distracted, Lori helped to refocus my attention to the task at hand. Furthermore, she gave me the self-confidence to let go of things I had not touched in over 4 years. She has loads of ideas and is so willing to share her extensive knowledge and creativity. Moreover, I now have the inspiration to tackle larger projects and look forward to Lori's coaching and assistance in the future.

New York City apartments are not nearly as big as they appear in the movies! My tiny 300 square foot studio apartment can easily fit into most people's living rooms. Lori found creative, inexpensive ways to maximize my space while still maintaining the distinct partitions of my apartment. She even decluttered my closet and dresser so much that I gained enough space to expand my wardrobe in the very near future!! Time to go shopping!
